The formula proved remarkably successful, with many Embassy singles selling in huge numbers and, in some cases, even outselling the original UK hit recordings.

The Wonder Of Woolworths! tells the fascinating story of this uniquely British phenomenon through 68 recordings spanning 1955 to 1962.
