The Courettes return with another blast of fuzzed-up Garage Rock on We Are The Courettes, a twelve-track set packed with pounding drums, raw guitar and infectious Rock ’n’ Roll energy. Flávia Couri handles vocals, guitar, piano and the band's trademark Atomic Fuzz sounds, while Martin Couri supplies the drums, vocals and tambourine.
Hoodoo Hop and Time Is Ticking get things moving before Come Inside, Nobody But You, T-C-H-A-U and Strawberry Boy bring the first side to a close. Side Two kicks off with Voodoo Doll, featuring guest vocals from Coffin Joe and saxophone from Fred Roller, followed by All About You, The Way You Walk, The Teens Are Square, Boom! Dynamite! and the closing Fool Fool Fool.
Produced and mixed by Kim Kix and mastered by Valentin Kruse, We Are The Courettes captures the duo's raw Garage Rock attack while adding plenty of extra colour around the edges. A dozen short, sharp and seriously infectious tracks, presented here in remastered stereo.
