Sgt Fury's diverse influences resulted in a unique interpretation of the Psychobilly style. They also demonstrated a notable ability for songwriting. Sgt Fury released three singles on Raucous Records, and The Overcooked The Poisoned and The Raw was their only full-length album. Being based on the Isle Of Wight meant that gigs in mainland Britain were few, and after releasing this fine album, Sgt Fury disappeared from the Psychobilly scene. One of Psychobilly's great obscurities.
