The Delta Records Story
Delta Records was a small independent American label active in the late 1940s and 1950s.
The collection gathers surviving recordings from the label's catalogue, covering gospel quartets, blues, vocal groups, jump blues and early rock 'n' roll, featuring tracks from Louis Campbell, Eddie Jones, Walter Smith, Red Calhoun, Clenest Gant, The Candlelighters, The Shadows, Tommy Jay, Billy Carter and others.
Among the most sought after recordings on offer here are Bop-Alena by The Shadows - a great piece of rock 'n' roll, At The Soda Shop by vocal group The Candlelighters and the more primitive rocker Jinglin' Janglin' Pockets by Tommy Jay.
