From the opening Hellbent and Lie And Gold through Rockin' Bop, Devil's Wheel, Grand Love and Alcohol King, the album keeps the energy high. The only cover is a storming version of Johnny Burnette's Midnight Train, alongside originals including Storm Rider, Rumble, Good Feeling Tonight and the closing Heading For The West.

With its combination of thumping slap bass, frantic drums and scorching Rockabilly guitar, Devil's Wheel is a hard-driving Psycho-Rockabilly album with plenty of twang and momentum.
