One of the early female-fronted bands on the Psychobilly scene, Something Shocking were active during the late 1980s, releasing the album Pink and appearing at many of the Psychobilly festivals of the era. This 15-track collection captures their distinctive take on the genre, combining plenty of original material with a great cover of The Revillos' Motorbike Beat.
There's plenty of attitude throughout, from Spend, Spend, Spend, Flight 101 and Something Shocking Pink through Just Ain't A Man, Jokers Wild, Take Me For A Ride and Going Nowhere Fast. Psychobilly fans will also be interested to know that guitarist Mike Pannell was later associated with Demented Are Go, adding another strong connection to the classic British Psychobilly scene.
