I Love Rock 'n' Roll is the 2006 studio album from the band who famously took Rock 'n' Roll back into the charts during the 1970s. Rather than sticking to their familiar formula of reviving classic 1950s material, this time around Showaddywaddy turn their attention to rockin' hits from the 1970s and '80s, giving them the full Showaddywaddy treatment.
The 20-track collection takes in everything from I Love Rock And Roll, Motor Bikin' and 2-4-6-8 Motorway to Tiger Feet, Spanish Stroll, Let's Work Together and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. There's also Denise, Jeepster, See My Baby Jive and I Hear You Knocking, as Showaddywaddy put their own Rock 'n' Roll stamp on a highly entertaining selection of later-era hits.
Fans of The Stray Cats will also find their hit Rock This Town included, alongside a lively mixture of British and American Rock and Pop favourites. I Love Rock 'n' Roll is a great example of Showaddywaddy doing what they have always done best: taking familiar songs and giving them a proper Rock 'n' Roll makeover.
