The Sharks unleash four tracks of stylish psychobilly on Sir Psycho, a limited-edition yellow-vinyl 10-inch EP reissuing their sought-after 1996 release. With its blend of twangy guitar, driving rhythms and pounding double bass, this is a fine example of the band's distinctive take on psychobilly.
The four-track set opens with the title song “Sir Psycho” and “Cold Heart”, before flipping over for “Side-Show Freak” and “Between Two Worlds”. Alan Wilson handles guitar and production, joined by Steve Whitehouse on double bass and Hodge on drums. Originally issued on 7-inch vinyl, these recordings return in a striking coloured-vinyl format.
A great little package for fans of The Sharks and collectors of classic UK psychobilly, this limited yellow 10-inch combines four punchy tracks with an eye-catching presentation. If you appreciate the genre's mix of rockabilly twang, muscular bass and darker-edged energy, Sir Psycho deserves a place in your collection.
