Best remembered for the timeless Doo-Wop classics Silhouettes and Daddy Cool, New York vocal quartet The Rays earned their place in Rock 'n' Roll history with one of the most memorable double-sided hit singles of the Rock 'n' Roll era. The title Bob's Crew is no coincidence. The "Bob" in question was legendary songwriter and producer Bob Crewe who, together with his writing partner Frank Slay Jr., discovered the group in 1955 and worked with Hal Miller and an ever-changing line-up of The Rays throughout their recording career.
