Peanuts Wilson with The Teen Kings • Cast Iron Hits! 7" EP (Vinyl)
Four cracking slices of vintage rock ’n’ roll from Peanuts Wilson with The Teen Kings, collected on this 7-inch vinyl EP. Wilson was the rhythm guitarist in the original Teen Kings alongside Roy Orbison, before stepping out on his own with the classic 1957 rockabilly recording “Cast Iron Arm”.
The four-track selection features “Silly Lilly”, “Paper Boy”, “Cast Iron Arm” and “I've Had It”. There is extra rock ’n’ roll history in “Paper Boy”, a song Wilson recorded before Orbison released his own version.
A fine choice for fans of original 1950s rockabilly, Roy Orbison’s early musical roots and the raw sound of the West Texas rock ’n’ roll scene. With four strong tracks and a direct connection to one of the era’s most important vocalists, this EP deserves a place in any serious vintage rock ’n’ roll collection.
