The fourth LP from Rockabilly Rebels Matchbox, Midnite Dynamos was originally issued in 1980 and spent nine weeks in the UK charts. The album produced two hit singles, “Midnite Dynamos” and “When You Ask About Love”, and remains one of the key releases from Matchbox's classic period, featuring the band's trademark blend of Rockabilly, Rock & Roll and Country influences.
This is the first official CD release of the complete Midnite Dynamos album, newly remastered for improved sound quality and accompanied by a booklet featuring the original LP artwork, detailed liner notes and pictures of related single sleeves. The 13-track original album is expanded to 19 tracks with six bonus recordings, including the B-sides “Love Is Going Out Of Fashion” and “You've Made A Fool Of Me”, plus the rare “Scotted Dick”.
The bonus material also includes “Over The Rainbow”, the Matchbox single that reached Number 12 in the UK chart, along with its B-side “Don't Break Up The Party” and the additional track “Stay Cool”. With Graham Fenton and Matchbox at the heart of this classic Rockabilly release, Midnite Dynamos is an essential addition to the collection, bringing together the complete original album, six bonus tracks and a superb selection of period artwork and memorabilia in one remastered CD edition.
