Matchbox deliver a great rockin' and rollin' collection on Comin' Home, featuring the classic line-up of Graham Fenton on vocals, Steve Bloomfield on lead guitar, Gordon Scott on rhythm guitar, Fred Poke on bass and Jimmy Redhead on drums. It's a superb showcase for the band's energetic blend of authentic Rockabilly and Rock 'n' Roll.
The 17-track set combines original material with a fantastic selection of Rock 'n' Roll favourites. I'm Coming Home, Johnny Come Lately, Hurricane, Rockin' At The Ritz and Why Get Up? sit alongside versions of classics including Baby I Don't Care, Oh Lonesome Me, Settin' The Woods On Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.
There's plenty more classic material to enjoy, with Little Queenie, Tulane, Bird Dog and Carol adding further Rock 'n' Roll favourites before the album closes with Ain't Got A Thing. With Graham Fenton's distinctive vocals backed by Matchbox's trademark guitar-driven attack and rockin' rhythm section, Comin' Home is a fine addition to any Matchbox collection.
