There is a wonderfully varied selection of styles and sounds, from the driving rockabilly of Gene Terry and Ray Gerdsen to the stomping instrumental energy of The Yellow Jackets and Bill Parker's Showboat Band, with virtually every track carrying the unmistakable flavour of the Louisiana scene.
Originally issued in 1994, this 24-track CD includes an 8-page booklet with liner notes by Jay Halsey and research by John Broven. All tracks are presented in mono except Al Ferrier's Muscadine Mule, which is in stereo, making this an excellent collection for anyone looking to dig deeper into the wild and wonderful world of Louisiana rock 'n' roll.
