Familiar classics are transformed with Spanish-language vocals while Los Straitjackets provide the sharp instrumental backing, making for a distinctive blend of rock 'n' roll, garage and pop sounds.
The album is packed with great songs, opening with De Dia Y De Noche, the Spanish-language version of The Kinks' All Day And All Of The Night, with Big Sandy on lead vocals. Cesar Rosas takes the lead on Dejenme Llorar, El Microscopico Bikini and Popotitos, while Little Willie G handles Ana, Hey Lupe and Loco Te Patina El Coco. Elsewhere Big Sandy tackles Spanish versions of Poison Ivy, Slow Down, Lonely Teardrops, Devil Woman and You'll Lose A Good Thing, giving the whole album a wonderfully cohesive vintage feel.
