The Krewmen cemented their reputation as one of Britain's leading Psychobilly bands with Plague Of The Dead, their fourth studio album. Originally released in 1988, it finds the band at the height of their powers, combining hard-hitting Psychobilly with Punk attitude, infectious hooks and the unmistakable slap bass that became a trademark of their sound.
Alongside a strong set of original songs including Plague Of The Dead, Scream Of The Banshees, Legend Of The Piper and Beat The Devil, the album also features inspired Psychobilly reworkings of I'm Not Your Stepping Stone, My Generation and Eddie Cochran's Jeanie Jeanie Jeanie. The line-up includes powerhouse bassist Mark Burke, who would later join The Phantom Rockers, helping drive the album with his energetic upright bass playing.
