Rockin' Machine is a superb comeback release from The Johnny Storm Band, bringing back one of the youthful stars of the early 1980s British Rockabilly scene. Johnny Storm made his name with the genre classics Flame On and For Greasy Kids Only, as well as more than a dozen appearances on ITV's Oh Boy!. After stepping away from music when the '80s Rockabilly scene faded, Johnny returned in 2005 following a reunion jam with his original drummer, and the resulting chemistry was simply too good to leave there.
The Johnny Storm Band are now back on the road and sounding better than ever, with youthful energy replaced by experience but none of the enthusiasm lost. Rockin' Machine was originally planned as a five-track EP of brand-new material, but the discovery of highly collectible, previously unissued recordings from the early 1980s transformed it into a superb mini-album. The new material includes Fun Lovin' Girl, How Many Hearts, Rockabilly Baby and the title track Rockin' Machine, while the vintage material adds an extra treat for long-time Johnny Storm fans.
