This compilation of 30 original Brook Benton recordings is drawn from EPs issued in the U.S., the UK, France, The Netherlands and Australia between 1959 and 1962.
Benton possessed one of the classiest, most readily-identifiable baritones voices in the history of popular music.
He was by no means an overnight success, and it took him a few years to achieve fame.
However, between 1959 and the mid 60s he recorded a near-faultless body of work, for the Mercury label, and sold millions of records.
