Jamboree (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) CD

Released in 1957, Jamboree (also known as Disc Jockey Jamboree) is one of the great Rock 'n' Roll movies of the era, bringing together an extraordinary cast of musical stars at the height of their popularity. Although a soundtrack LP was produced for promotional use at the time, it was never issued commercially, making this the first official opportunity to own the film's soundtrack in its entirety.

This long-overdue collection features an outstanding line-up including Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Connie Francis, Charlie Gracie, Buddy Knox, Fats Domino, Lewis Lymon & The Teenchords, The Harptones, Count Basie and many more. Highlights include Great Balls Of Fire, Glad All Over, Cool Baby, Hula Love and Wait And See, sitting alongside lesser-known performances that perfectly capture the excitement and variety of late-1950s American popular music.

As an added bonus, the CD also includes a selection of recordings from the soundtrack of the 1956 film Rockin' The Blues, making this an even richer celebration of the music that filled cinema screens during the golden years of Rock 'n' Roll. Beautifully restored throughout, it offers a fascinating snapshot of the artists, songs and styles that defined the rock 'n' roll era.

Whether you're a film memorabilia collector or simply love classic Rock 'n' Roll, Rhythm & Blues and Doo Wop, this unique soundtrack album is an essential addition to any collection.
