Jack Rabbit Slim return with six original rockabilly cuts on Beat It Creep!, a 10-inch mini-album released in 2023. One of the UK's best-loved modern rockabilly bands, they combine driving rhythms, sharp guitar work and catchy songwriting with the swagger and attitude that have made them favourites on the rockin' scene.
Featuring Bob Butfoy on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Brett Waters on electric guitar and backing vocals, Nico Sc'erri on double and electric bass, and Tony Hillebrandt on drums, the set was recorded at Western Star Studio and produced by Alan Wilson. From the punchy title track and “Rude Not To” to “Cat Talkin' Baby”, “The Popular Loner” and “Rock 'n' Roll Bones”, the six songs deliver a strong dose of contemporary British rockabilly.
With six original tracks and a 10-inch pressing, Beat It Creep! is an ideal addition for Jack Rabbit Slim fans and collectors of modern rockabilly. Whether you've followed the band for years or are just discovering their music, this mini-album packs plenty of rockin' energy into a compact vinyl release.
