Swedish rockin' rebels The Intolerants deliver 14 self-penned and passionately performed tracks on 100% Of Nothin', an album that refuses to be boxed into one genre. Blending country-punk attitude with rockabilly, psychobilly and classic rock 'n' roll, the band create a raw, energetic sound somewhere between the outlaw spirit of Bob Wayne and the darker roots-rock tradition of Johnny Cash. With sharp lyrics, driving rhythms and plenty of attitude, this is music for listeners who like their rockin' sounds rough around the edges.
“Number One” and “Crawlin' Back” set the pace before “The Bitterness That Lasts”, “While You Were Out Of It” and the punchy “Can't Be Arsed” show off the band's varied songwriting. “Red Dress”, “Do You Hate Me” and “Why Do I Do It” add further shades to the album's mix of punk energy and rootsy rock 'n' roll, while “Coal Miner's Son” brings a country flavour. The collection closes with “En Gång Till”, adding another distinctive twist to an album full of surprises. The only cover is “So Long Baby Goodbye”, originally recorded by The Blasters, reworked with a tougher punk-rock edge while retaining its rootsy character.
Ideal for fans of country-punk, psychobilly, rockabilly and uncompromising roots rock, 100% Of Nothin' is a lively, unpredictable album from a band with its own distinctive voice. If you enjoy music that moves freely between honky-tonk grit, punk attitude and traditional rock 'n' roll, The Intolerants deliver 14 tracks with plenty of character, humour and bite.
