Teardrops In The Dark is the debut album from The Hot Tone Sinners, delivering their own take on classic Rockabilly and early '60s Rock 'n' Roll with a healthy dose of Blues and Country thrown into the mix. Released in 2021, this is a dark and atmospheric set with plenty of rootsy character and a distinctly modern edge.
The album deals in tales of love, loss and madness, with tracks such as The Reaper, Trapped Too Long, Alone & Cold, Poison and Live In Fear setting the mood. There's plenty of variety too, from the driving Burn That Mother Down and Link Up to the more reflective Stay, Teardrops In The Dark and Believer. Confession may be good for the soul, but it clearly makes for a pretty good Rockabilly album too.
For fans of modern Rockabilly who like their Rock 'n' Roll with a darker, bluesy edge, Teardrops In The Dark is a seriously enjoyable debut. Fourteen tracks of Rockabilly, early '60s Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and Country influences make this a fine introduction to The Hot Tone Sinners and their distinctive sound.
