The Hillbilly Moon Explosion - With Monsters And Gods CD

The Hillbilly Moon Explosion return with With Monsters And Gods, a thrilling and musically diverse album that pushes their distinctive Rockabilly and Rock 'n' Roll sound into harder, louder territory. The half-English four-piece, based in Switzerland, had spent years honing their craft away from the spotlight, developing a unique sound that draws together Rockabilly, Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and a broad range of other influences.

Fronted by chanteuse Emanuela Hutter, with Oliver Baroni on vocals and stand-up bass, Duncan James on guitar and Sylvain Petite on drums, the band returned to the Swiss studio where they had recorded their early Rockabilly albums. Produced by Oliver Baroni, the album was deliberately made to reflect the harder edge of the band's sound after months spent on the road, resulting in a louder and more Rock 'n' Roll-focused collection.

From the atmospheric opening In Space and the driving Temptation through Depression, Down On Your Knees, Midnight Blues and Desperation, With Monsters And Gods showcases The Hillbilly Moon Explosion at their most varied and powerful. Further highlights include the title track, Love You Better, Black Ghost, Heartbreak Boogie and their distinctive take on Jackson, making this a superb album from one of Europe's most individual Rockabilly and Rock 'n' Roll bands.
