The Halibuts were one of the very first surf bands from LA. along with Jon & the Nightriders and The Surf Raiders. Starting in the early '80s, The Halibuts played instro surf music long before the Surf revival was in full swing. All but one of the members of the band were surfers too, which was unusual at the time. Hangin' Fourteen gathers all the best tracks from their original albums.
