Recorded at the Paredes de Coura Festival in Portugal on 17th August 2006, God Hates The Cramps captures the band during their final European tour. Originally recorded for radio broadcast, this superb live performance finds Lux Interior and Poison Ivy still delivering the wild, unpredictable Rock 'n' Roll spectacle that had made The Cramps legendary for more than three decades.
The setlist reaches across the band's remarkable career, mixing early favourites with later material in a relentless succession of Garage Rock, Rockabilly and Punk-fuelled classics. Highlights include The Mad Daddy, The Way I Walk, Primitive, Let's Get Fucked Up, T.V. Set, Psychotic Reaction and a blistering finale with Tear It Up, all delivered with the swagger, attitude and dark humour that only The Cramps could summon.
With the added clarity of a professional radio broadcast, God Hates The Cramps combines the excitement of a live concert with outstanding sound quality. As a document of the band's final European tour, it's both an exhilarating performance and a fitting reminder of why The Cramps remain one of Rock 'n' Roll's most original and influential live acts.
Presented in a limited edition digipak, this is an essential live recording for Cramps fans and a superb snapshot of the band still firing on all cylinders right to the end.
