The Firebirds present the perfect combination of Rock 'n' Roll, Rockabilly and Doo-Wop on this superb 20-track collection. Movin' On features plenty of original material alongside well-chosen covers, giving the album a great mixture of classic influences and the band's own rockin' songs.
Among the highlights are their versions of songs associated with Dion and Eddie Cochran, alongside the wonderfully varied The Munsters Theme and La Mer (Beyond The Sea). Original Firebirds material such as Messed Up On You, The Warning Voice, Open Your Heart, Comin' On Strong, Spending My Money and the title track Movin' On shows just how well the band can combine vintage sounds with their own distinctive style.
With 20 tracks of Rock 'n' Roll, Rockabilly and Doo-Wop, Movin' On is a lively and varied album with strong vocals, great musicianship and plenty of authentic rockin' feeling. A fine Firebirds set that balances original material with some inspired choices from the classic Rock 'n' Roll songbook.
