Originally released in 2023, this German Psychobilly outfit combine horror, Surf and Punk influences with a raw, hard-driving sound that fits the Psychobilly Earthquake label perfectly.
The album gets straight into the action with Surfin' Witch, This Way and Lonesome Rider, before piling on the atmosphere with Desert Trail, Coffin Surfer, Shark Lady and Party Time. The title track Psycho Dad is joined by suitably twisted versions of Tainted Love, Sympathy For The Devil and The Passenger, with Demon Breed and Highnoon keeping the horror quotient firmly in the red.
For fans of modern Psychobilly who like their Rock 'n' Roll dark, energetic and slightly unhinged, Psycho Dad delivers a seriously enjoyable 14-track ride. There's Surf, horror, attitude and plenty of pounding Psychobilly energy throughout, making this a fine example of the contemporary German Psychobilly scene.
