The Milkshakes' debut album is a landmark of the early 1980s Garage Punk revival, capturing the band at their rawest and most primitive. Originally released in 1981, Talking 'Bout... Milkshakes! features 14 superb originals written by Billy Childish and Mickey Hampshire, with the pair combining fuzzed-up guitar, pounding drums and a gloriously stripped-down approach that became central to the band's sound.

From the driving She'll Be Mine, Pretty Baby and Ruhrgebeat through to Shed Country, Don't Love Another, Tell Me Where's That Girl and I Say You Lie, the album is packed with concise, infectious Garage Punk that never wastes a note. The chemistry between Childish and Hampshire is evident throughout, while the deliberately primitive production gives the recordings an immediacy that still sounds remarkably fresh.

This vinyl reissue presents the complete original 14-track album in mono, preserving one of the key recordings from the early Medway Garage scene and an essential chapter in the story of The Milkshakes.
