The Brains bring their distinctive brand of fast, furious and seriously catchy Psychobilly from Montreal, Canada. Combining heavy Punk Rock energy with Rockabilly attitude, they deliver a hard-driving collection packed with infectious choruses and a gloriously twisted sense of humour.
Dressed as freaky, greased-up zombies and singing about lust, death, speed and brains, The Brains are clearly not here to play nice! From the opening charge of Horsemen and Four Beasts Ride through to Oh Murder!, High On Speed, Drunk Not Dead and I'm Your Nightmare, the album keeps the energy high. Take What I Want (Souvenir Of Monte Christo) adds another wonderfully twisted title to the collection.
Originally released in 2023, Drunk Not Dead is a great example of The Brains' fast and heavy approach to modern Psychobilly. If you like your Rockabilly punked-up, your choruses catchy and your zombies greased-up, this one deserves a place in the collection. Beware!
