Betty Everett was best known for her 1960's on the Vee Jay label - most famously The Shoop Shoop Song, You're No Good and Getting Mighty Crowded. These iconic and much covered Soul songs have somewhat obscured her earlier Blues recordings. Prior to her success, between 1957 and 1962 Betty released singles on small Cobra, CJ and One-derful Record labels, and those superb tracks are gathered on this CD.
