Four Classic Albums Plus 2CD

B.B. King - Four Classic Albums Second Set Plus 2CD

This second 2CD set brings together four classic B.B. King albums from the late 1950s and early 1960s: B.B. King Sings Spirituals (1959), King Of The Blues (1960), More B.B. King (1961) and Easy Listening Blues (1962). Together they trace another fascinating chapter in the career of the great Blues guitarist and singer, moving from spiritual material through hard-driving electric Blues and instrumental workouts.

The first disc opens with ten tracks from B.B. King Sings Spirituals, including Precious Lord, Save A Seat For Me, Jesus Gave Me Water and I'm Working On The Building, before moving into the complete King Of The Blues album. The second disc features More B.B. King and Easy Listening Blues, with highlights including Bad Case Of Love, Baby, Look At You, Blues For Me, Night Long, Slow Walk and Shoutin' The Blues. There's also a generous selection of bonus recordings, including Everyday I Have The Blues, Going Down Slow, Whole Lot Of Lovin', When My Heart Beats Like A Hammer and Three O'Clock Blues.

56 tracks across two remastered CDs, comprising four original classic albums plus 16 bonus tracks from the same era. With a mixture of vocal Blues, spirituals, ballads, instrumentals and swinging early-60s material, this substantial collection complements the first Four Classic Albums set and provides an excellent further journey through B.B. King's remarkable catalogue.
