Baker Knight was one of the most successful 1950s songwriters - his songs were famously recorded by Ricky Nelson (six of them became million-sellers), Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran and many others. He also enjoyed a parallel career as a rock 'n' roll singer, recording for the Kit, Decca, Jubilee, Coral, Kick, RCA-Victor, Chess and Checker labels. Astonishingly, none of his own releases were commercial successes, and they are all nowadays highly sought-after collectors' items. This superb collection includes a number of near-mythical releases such as Bop Boogie To The Blues, Little Heart, Sister and Peek-A-Boo which have never previously been reissued in any format.
