Warren Scott and The Memphis Playboys CD
Warren Scott's Memphis Playboys may appear familiar.
Three of the four band members are from Rockabilly scene favourites Jack Rabbit Slim - so that guarentees that this will be a popular release.
Although there are obvious similarities in the sound of the two bands, The Memphis Playboys have a more traditional 1950s Rockabilly and Western Bop sound.
That said, they retain the powerful delivery of JRS, so if you like one band that you'll like the other.
Some great original songs here, along with covers of Eddie Cletro, Pat Cupp and Slim Rhodes.  A certain rockin' scene hit!
