Rustic Stomp (Vinyl 7" EP) picture disc

Los Rancheros • Rustic Stomp EP (7" Picture Disc)

Rustic Stomp is a wonderfully distinctive 7" Picture Disc from Japanese Rustic Stomp pioneers Los Rancheros. Formed in Hachioji in 1992, the band developed their own wild blend of Psychobilly, Bluegrass, Irish Traditional music and other folk influences, creating the exuberant sound that became known as Japanese Rustic Stomp.

This three-track EP delivers the essential Los Rancheros formula, opening with the raucous Los Rancheros Theme before flipping over for The Lonewolf Gangster and Tiger Rag. With its combination of Rockabilly attitude, rootsy instrumentation and the anything-goes spirit of Rustic Stomp, it's a great introduction to one of the key bands from Japan's homegrown Rustic scene.

Pressed as a 7" Picture Disc, Rustic Stomp is a particularly tasty little collector's item for anyone interested in Japanese Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Rustic Stomp and rootsy Punk. Three tracks, plenty of character and a fascinating glimpse into one of the more unusual branches of the international Rockabilly family tree.
