When four of Neo-Rockabilly's best-known musicians join forces, the result is something rather special. 13 Cats unites Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats, Tim Worman of The Polecats, Smutty Smith of The Rockats and Danny B. Harvey of Levi Dexter & The Ripchords in a powerhouse band that combines decades of experience with a fresh, hard-hitting sound. Live In Las Vegas captures that chemistry perfectly in the band's first ever DVD release.
Filmed live in Las Vegas, the concert features favourites including Jungle Man Robot Girl, 13 Cats, Rockaholic Baby, Hell Bop and Teddy Boy Kung Fu Weapon, all delivered with the energy, musicianship and stage presence you'd expect from four veterans of the Rockabilly scene. The performance is complemented by bonus footage from a Japanese tour and three promotional videos, making this far more than just a straightforward concert film.
What makes Live In Las Vegas so enjoyable is the obvious sense of fun between the musicians. Rather than simply trading on their impressive pedigrees, 13 Cats play like a real band, feeding off each other's enthusiasm and producing a performance that's powerful, polished and packed with Rock 'n' Roll attitude.
Whether you're a fan of the Stray Cats, Polecats, Rockats or Levi Dexter, this DVD offers a rare chance to see four leading figures of the Neo-Rockabilly world sharing the same stage. An essential addition to any Rockabilly DVD collection.
