Boots Randolph was the first sax man to operate successfully as a session player in Nashville. He arrived in town in 1958, just as Country music was undergoing metamorphosis towards more commercial sounds, in line with Rock 'n' Roll. This 32 track collection looks at Boots' early days in Nashville and features him playing on an eclectic set of sessions, a representative cross section of what was being recorded in Music City at that time. It is a collection of hits, misses and album tracks, plus a couple of his own early instrumentals, notably his signature number Yakety Sax. Featured on this CD include some of of the greatest recordings featuring Boots Randolph performing with Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Brenda Lee, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Preston, Conway Twitty and many others more.
