Very Best Of Ted Taylor - Be Ever Wonderful 1955-1962 CD
Long before he evolved into a Soul legend, Ted Taylor was a successful 1950s DooWop and Rhythm & Blues singer.
Known for his neo-falsetto, Gospel-tinged tenor, he was often compared with singers like Clyde McPhatter and Little Willie John.
This 32 track collection presents the very best recordings his early years, between 1955 and 1962, and also includes a trio of sides recorded as an ensemble group member, before embarking upon his solo career.
Includes his early hits Be Ever Wonderful, I Need You So, Look Out, Don’t Lie, I’ll Release You and Can’t Take No More.
Many of these recordings are unfeasibly difficult to find elsewhere on CD.
