The Spotnicks
Guitars From Out-A Space 2CD

One of the great instrumental groups of the early 1960s, The Spotnicks originated from earlier bands - initially The Rebels who got together in 1956.
The following year they were joined by lead guitarist Bo Winberg and became Rock-Teddy and the Blue Caps.
In In 1958 they added Ove Johansson on drums, changing their name to The Frazers, and by 1961 they were The Spotnicks and ready for international success.
Their first chart successes were in Belgium, with Johnny Guitar, Galloping Guitars and Spotnick Theme all breaking into the top 20 singles charts, but by the end of 1961 they had also charted in the UK, Australia and their native Sweden.
Their fame spread over the next few years scoring several more hits around Europe, before going on to huge success with a string of hits in Japan.
