Live From Austin Texas is a snapshot of Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers’ metamorphosis from the Pacific Northwest to Austin, and all the changes that move brought to the band’s lineup and resulting sound.
This now Austin-based roots and rockabilly combo plays a style of Americana that encompasses Texas honky tonk, Northwest alt-country, Bakersfield twang, Memphis rockabilly, Western swing and good old fashioned Rock ’n’ Roll.
Live From Austin Texas is a collection of previously released tunes, performed live in that jumpin’, rockin’ honky tonk style for which Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers are well known, as well as a few brand new songs to please the band’s many fans.
