Rock 'n' Roll with Scatman CD
Scatman Crothers
Rock ‘n’ Roll With Scat Man CD
Although he is chiefly remembered as an actor, Scatman Crothers also enjoyed a parallel career in music, actually predating his acting career by a couple of decades.
This collection includes the whole of his 1956 LP Rock ‘n’ Roll with Scat Man plus seventeen bonus tracks including.
Prior to releasing this LP, Crothers had become an experienced singer, drummer and guitarist and was famously one of the first vocalists to improvise nonsense syllables, hence the nickname “Scat Man”.
Among the bonus tracks are both sides of the controversial and collectable Death of Emmett Till (parts 1&2), which Crothers released under the pseudonym The Ramparts, which has never previously appeared on CD.
This is the most indepth overview of Crothers’ singing career and several of these recordings have never previously appeared on CD.
