This fourth volume in the By The Bayou series featuring rare and unreleased material from Louisiana recording studios maintains the high quality of the other three CDs. After Boppin', Boppin' Again and Rhythm 'n' Bluesin', we now go strictly Bluesin' by the Bayou with some of the artists that made their names on labels including Excello Records and Goldband Records.
Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester, Lightnin' Slim, Silas Hogan and Clifton Chenier are joined by lesser-known but equally talented artists.
All tracks were recorded by J.D Miller or Eddie Shuler and most are previously unreleased.
