Love Hurts - The Songs Of Felice and Boudleaux Bryant CD
Husband & wife duo Felice and Boudleaux Bryant were one of the most important, successful songwriting duos of the 1950s and '60s. After establishing themselves in the Country market initially, they went on to enjoy spectacular Rock 'n' Roll success. In all, the couple would write nearly six thousand songs together over a fifty-year period, selling over two hundred million records. Artists who recorded their songs included The Everly Brothers (for whom they penned six million-sellers), Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, The Collins Kids, Anita Carter, Connie Francis, Bob Luman, Little Jimmy Dickens, Skeeter Davis, Janis Martin and many others. These are featured on this collection which ranges from million-selling worldwide hits to serious collectors' rarities. This snapshot of their early work, featuring thirty-odd different artists (only The Everlys appear twice), should hopefully include a number of songs and performances which people won't be over-familiar with.
