Lonnie Donegan 1962 - I'll Never Fall In Love Again CD
After six years’ virtually unbroken record success, by the early '60s Lonnie Donegan was finding hit records a little harder to come by. During 1962 he released five singles, three of which - The Comancheros, The Party’s Over and Pick A Bale Of Cotton - made the UK charts, although his original version of I’ll Never Fall In Love Again and Tit-Bits inexplicably failed to register. He also released his most ambitious LP to date, Sing Hallelujah. This output from 1962 is gathered here, along with a half-dozen collectors’ rarities which are very hard to find on CD, to complete an unique collection. Those rarities include the U.S. recording of The Wreck Of The John B and Ace In The Hole recorded with the Clyde Valley Stompers.
