This unique set is largely drawn from Reed's Vee Jay Records LPs, Rockin’ With Reed, Found Love, Now Appearing, Jimmy Reed At Carnegie Hall and Blues Is My Business.
A number of these sides remained unissued at the time they were recorded, and later turned up on Charly Records compilations.
Although there are no chart hits here, this is all classic, vintage Jimmy Reed repertoire and many of these sides would have doubtless made it had they been issued as singles.
