The Jacks / The Cadets / The Flares
Evolution Of A Vocal Group CD

The Jacks, also known as The Cadets were from Los Angeles and were the Modern/RPM group of labels' top vocal group in the mid-1950s.
Although both groups featured identical personnel, their lead singers differed; Willie Davis usually led The Jacks, while Aaron Collins and/or Dub Jones fronted The Cadets.
They also backed artists like Donna Hightower, Young Jessie and Richard Berry, whilst various group members later recorded as The Flares, The Peppers and The Thor-Ables.
This unique 30 track collection traces the evolution of the group, and presents the very best of their output between 1955-62, across nine different record labels, featuring their hits Why Don't You Write Me? (The Jacks), Stranded In The Jungle (The Cadets) and Foot Stompin' (The Flares).
This body of work has never been thus compiled before, making for a unique package, with several of tracks making their CD debut.
