Raging Heart CD

Graham Fenton • Raging Heart CD

Graham Fenton, the distinctive lead vocalist of Matchbox, delivers a superb solo album with Raging Heart, a fine collection of straight-ahead Rock 'n' Roll, Rockabilly Bop and a touch of Rockin' Hillbilly. It's exactly the kind of rockin' material Matchbox fans have been waiting for, with Fenton sounding at his vocal best throughout a varied selection of songs.

From the driving title track Raging Heart and the infectious Three Months To Kill through to Roly Poly, Cajun Baby and Move Over Tiger, the album has plenty of classic Rockabilly flavour. Fenton is backed by an excellent group of musicians, with strong production helping to give the whole record a lively, polished sound without losing its authentic Rock 'n' Roll character.

The 15-track selection also includes choice covers associated with Vince Taylor, James Intveld, Huelyn Duvall and Chuck Berry, alongside plenty of original material. With Fenton's unmistakable voice at the centre, Raging Heart is a first-rate solo release and one of the strongest entries in his Rockabilly career.
