When the rhythms of Rock 'n' Roll crossed over the Mexican border in 1955, it wasn't through young bands but by experienced musicians used to play anything new coming from the other side of Rio Grande. In the case of Rock 'n' Roll, this gave birth to various ways of understanding and playing it; some of them different to the original and others loyal to it, but with a Latin flavour.
