Although he would go on to enjoy his biggest commercial successes later, Donnie Elbert's recording career began back in the 1950s.
He enjoyed a US hit with his very first record, What Can I Do? in 1957, and subsequently tasted regional success with Have I Sinned?, Will You Ever Be Mine?, Half As Old, Baby Cakes and others.
This 32 track collection gathers all his solo singles between 1957 and 1962, across a variety of labels.
This is the first time that these sides have been thus compiled.
This is a seriously impressive recorded legacy, albeit much of it largely forgotten since it was first released.
