The Deep River Boys were one of the most prolific R&B vocal groups of the 1950’s with recording contacts in the USA, UK, Norway and Sweden spread across more than a dozen different labels.
Led throughout by Harry Douglas the group was formed in 1936 and was led by him for 50 years.

It includes recordings from both sides of the Atlantic, many of which are difficult to find and have not been re-issued until now.
It features recordings made for Beacon, RCA, HMV (and its Scandinavian subsidiaries), Top Rank, Gallant and Wand Records,  plus a live performance from the BBC’s Six-Five Special.
