Dale Hawkins, from Shreveport, Louisiana, emerged in 1957 with the classic Susie-Q, named one of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame’s “500 Songs That Shaped Rock 'n' Roll”.
Forbidden Love presents his story from January 1961 and features all his recorded output during '61 and '62.
These include a live LP, Let’s All Twist At The Miami Beach Peppermint Lounge, plus tracks which were not issued the first time around.
Many of these recordings are very difficult to find elsewhere.
