This album presents a tribute to the Six Five Special TV show and the artists who appeared on the show. In 1957 both television and Rock 'n' Roll were in their infancy in the UK. After the austere post war years of the early 1950s, teenagers were gradually becoming a force to be reckoned with and could no longer be ignored. It was time for them to be heard and Rock 'n' Roll was the language that they used. Television was to become the medium through which they would rock the nation, and the TV show Six Five Special became a platform for the emerging Rock 'n' Roll talent of the day. Featuring Terry Wayne, Jim Dale, The King Brothers, Don Lang, Jimmy Jackson, Tommy Steele, Terry Dene, Lonnie Donegan, Marty Wilde, The Vipers and many others.
